Now, one of the first stories I heard concerning Montauk was the conspiracy surrounding the crash of the Egypt Air airliner several years ago. If you want more details on that, check www.Above Top Secret.com . The part that fascinated me most about the story, were the allegations that there was some kind of "team" stationed out there monitoring the base, and that they had witnessed several particle beam weapons being fired at the air craft the night it was downed. As I said, I am a reasonable person and I did not, at first, believe one word of the tale. That was before I went to the base, I have been there twice now, and I intend to go back as many times as it is necessary to find out what I can about the truth. Because upon going there, within the first hour of arriving, I noticed two very unusual things.
Camp Hero - Montauk Point
Montauk Point is located on the eastern most part of Long Island's south fork in New York. It is famous world wide for its majestic light house as well as its beaches and restaurants. Thousands of people flock to the location each year, especially in the summer, to enjoy fun in the sun in what is known locally as Gods Land. Most people vacationing here are blissfully unaware, that beneath the pristine sand dunes and unheard above the sounds of the Atlantic Ocean, there is a dark shadowy world concealed from the eyes of most. A place of whispered terrors and conspiracies so unbelievable one must surely consider the tellers of these tales quite mad.
Yet, as with other conspiracy theories, with folk lore and fables, theres lies beneath a gleaming kernel of pure, solid truth.

You see, what most casual observers do not notice, is that directly adjacent to the landmark light house there is a dilapidated, now closed military base called Camp Hero. In fact if you check any map of the area you will notice the entire local is marked as a large green blob called simply "Camp Hero State Park". It's huge. The area is popular among fishermen who go to the point to catch the large striped bass that run there as well as other fish. They camp and hike, blissfully unaware that one of the greatest conspiracies lies literally under their feet.
Camp Hero was once a vital Air Force base, strategically positioned as a post for submarine detection and communication with naval vessels. With the collapse of the Soviet Union the base was shut down,  following the way of the dinosaur as it was deemed an unnecessary expenditure of the government's money. Or was it? Books have been written about the location. Books describing fantastic tales of time travel experimentation, alien creatures known as Reptoids working in conjunction with a shadowy group of human beings, dimensional experiments and abductions. Many people claim to have been kidnapped there, taken underground and been experimented on in the most sinister of manners.
There are tales of an underground magnetically levitated bullet train connecting New York City to the supposedly defunct base. So naturally, as I live on Long Island and as I have developed an unquenchable thirst for knowledge of things super natural, it seemed to follow suit that this was something I could investigate for myself. I am not an unreasonable person, my impression was that I could go out there for a few hours and report back that the entire thing was a myth. Apparently, I miscalculated on several fronts. First of all, the base is tremendous. The second thing is the terrain. They may call Montauk Gods Country, but the pine barrens surrounding Camp Hero are as formidable and unwelcoming as any tropical jungle. OK, that may be a little exaggerated, I have never been in a jungle.
Now, one of the first stories I heard concerning Montauk was the conspiracy surrounding the crash of the Egypt Air airliner several years ago.                               My partner and I, a fellow who wishes only to be known by his alias Midnight Mutilator, stopped at the beach about 1 and a half miles from the base. The trip took a couple of hours and it was a gorgeous day. Within a few minutes we saw something that stunned us, although the other bathers seemed to take no notice. Two low flying, black unmarked Army looking helicopters, complete with black tinted glass flew right past us. To this day I rue that I did not have my camera ready, but as God is my witness it happened. Now if you are unfamiliar with the folk lore surrounding conspiracies such as cattle mutilations, black (secret) government projects and more, these types of craft are often reffered to. Every air craft in the skies of the United States is supposed to be plainly marked with identification of some sort, usually a registration number. So to say our jaws dropped  when they flew by is an understatement.
The second thing we noticed, a little piece of information that is left off of the maps, is that fully 1/3 of the base is closed . There is no lack of signs saying Keep Out and promising severe penalties for trespassers. Those were our first observations. I couldnt help but think " Thats odd, black helicopters and now a state park that is closed to the public". Odd indeed. In fact, as I came to realize after our second expedition, it is not going to be easy to debunk the conspiracies. Indeed we found evidence that the base is very active still. Now, I am trying to do this investigation as scientifically as I can, however I am not a scientist. So I will present our findings in as neutral a manner as possible. I am not making any claims what so ever, so draw your own conclusions as you will. But as I said, I entered Camp Hero with a closed mind and left with one left unnervingly open. So if you care, take a bit of time and take a virtual tour of the base with me, and I will convey everything we noticed to you.......
