The so-called camera we came across. What this thing was doing there, and what its function was we will never know. On our first trip we came across this along with what appeared to be brand new electrical generators. The housing was made of pvc tubing and had the words "Sun Light Protection Certified" on the side. It was mounted on a slab of concrete along side what appeared to be an antenna, broken off at its base. The ground wire running from the base had a warning sticker on it warning of the dire consequences of electricity.

Notice on this photo from our first trip, the rock that is on top of the thing. This is exactly how we found it. The strangness just continues. Unfortunately, we did not dismantle it on our first trip, so its function can never be determined. Because when we returne about 9 days later, the cover had been removed !
Inside there was clearly a tube running underground, its the circle visible inside of the housing shown at the left. The cover was found on the ground and is visible in the image. There are several theories about what the purpose of this thing is, including that it is a vent port or a switch. Personally I dont think it was a switch, but we will probably never know what it was.

It seemed very strange indeed that it was found in this condition after returning a short time later. It could be a coincidence, but my feeling is that someone noticed the pictures at the Above Top Secret message board, and removed the contents. Again, I can't describe how eerie it was finding it with the rock on top of it...
The photo on the left shows the generators we found about 20 feet from the camera. For a base that has been closed for 15 years, it was odd to find generators with cables running underground, all in near pristine condition. The lock on the fence did not appear to be rusted etc... There were many such oddities there, and it all adds up. Why are there new generators there? What was the camera? Why are the large antennas still standing up all over the base, including the huge radar dish? These things should have been dismantled with the closing of the base, not left standing. Why are there brand new guard houses scattered about? And the big question. Why were there vehicles parked at the old AT&T building, with guard dogs outside? Why was the dismantled microwave tower on top of the building replaced? Why was there a plane circling the base the entire time we spent there?
