Below is the circle of stones that Michelle Guerin said she saw in her work "Reptilians at Montauk." There is indeed a camouflaged bunker right beside it, there are pictures of it in my Third Investigation. For some reason or another I remember that it was used for an anti-air craft gun. The hill you see sloping to the right in the photograph is the hidden bunker. |
Even though the park was opened, we decided to go and check out the structure lying in the water, shown on the previous page. Somebody contacted me via e-mail and said that that particular object once stood up on the bluffs, and that the erosion caused it to finally tumble to its resting place today. When I took that picture from the top of a pile of very large boulders, I happened to look down and see the symbol you see below carved into the solid rock. Just chalk it up to another oddity of Camp Hero (although technically we were not in the base yet). I dont know if the symbol has any special meaning, but I would rather not jump to any conclusions. For now I am willing to assume it was carved by an extremely bored fisherman, as they do fish from the rocks when the tide is high and in. After we had finished on the beach we headed for the entrance to Camp Hero. Interestingly, the entrance is not where the new security gate has been put but rather in the back of the base, right on the road where we have usually walked into the base. Its a strange place to put it, in all honesty I think most people would miss the entrance. Another thing that is weird I suppose. But who can say what they add up to? By the way, there was a young lady in the guard booth to collect fees from any traffic entering Camp Hero. I really feel badly for her, it must be one of the worst jobs you could want. Not air-conditioned, and basically in the middle of nowhere with no one to talk to. |
The trip just wouldn't feel right without our old pal, the Montauk surveilance plane circling overhead. Now to be frank, I don't have a clue if he is spying on the base or not, especially since it is now open to the public. But my gut tells me something is being watched there, this plane has literally been circling Montauk Point for the last 2 years, ever since our first investigation. But it makes no difference now, it is just interesting to note. |
