One day in June of 1873, a farmer in Bonham, Texas, USA, looked up from his work and was astonished at what he saw. There appeared to be an enormous flying snake, banded with brilliant yellow stripes, writhing and twisting in the sky above him.
El Chupacabra, the name translated from Spanish means literally " The Goat Sucker ". The reason for this garrish name derives from the fact that the victims of this creature were, at first, usually goats who died with two puncture wounds to the throat and all of the blood drained from their bodies.
Just what are these things, described as flying rods? Your guess is as good as mine, however in my personal opinion, they represent possibly the best evidence of alien life to date, or at the least, an exotic new form of life often described as sky fish, due to the undulating motion in which they travel. Rods were discovered accidentally by film maker Jose Escamilla in 1994, while filming in Midway, New Mexico
I have to tell you, the first time I heard of the word Reptoids, I was a little bit skeptical to say the least. Initially they seemed like something that belonged in a Star Trek tv show, not in any serious type of discussion to do with alien beings that perhaps visit this Earth. As time wore on though, I found my skeptism turning from "What ? Are you kidding?" to " Maybe it's me thats crazy!".
During the blizzard like conditions in Canada in the early 1850s an American Indian named White Bear set out from his Blackfoot tribe in a desperate search for food. He went to Devils Mountain, northeast of Banff, Alberta, where he hunted and killed a deer. White Bear was carrying its carcass tied to his back when suddenly a great shadow appeared overhead. He felt huge talons grab the deers body and lift it - and him - into the air!
North America has its own monster. While Scotland has its Loch Ness sea serpent and the Himalayas has its Abominable Snowman or Yeti, North America lays claim to Sasquatch or, as he has been nicknamed, Bigfoot. Sasquatch a 7 to 8-foot-tall man/ape has been sighted in North America for centuries. Before the European invasion, Native Americans knew of the creature and gave him the name Sasquatch, which means "hairy giant."
Plesiosaurs have been extinct for 70 million years, a dinosaur that ruled the seas during the Mesozoic period. But are they truly extinct? There are many creatures that survived the Great Extinction, many creatures like the crocodile and the shark. There are creatures once thought to be extinct that have now been found to be quite alive. And there are tales of giant "Sea Monsters", like the Kraken, now thought to be accounts of a quite natural albeit elusive creatures known as Giant Squid.
Road running is an uncharacteristic trait of Nessie, but one that was repeated on the brightly moonlit night of January 5th, 1934. At about 1 am a young medical student named Arthur Grant was whizzing along the loch road near Lochend on his motorcycle when he saw a large dark blob on the road ahead. As he approached, the object ran across the road, almost colliding with Grant. .
From the early 1600's European travellers in central Africa have reported the existence of a monstrous mystery creature. According to Abbe Proyart, a French priest who published a history of the African interior in 1776, missionaries had seen tracks with clawprints that were at least 90 centimeters ( about 3 feet ) in circumference and over 2 meters apart (a little more than 6 1/2 feet).
One warm day in June of 1764, in a forest clearing in the Gevaudan in south - central France, a young lady who was there seeing to some cows saw a horrible creature running right for her. It was the size of a cow itself, and the beast looked for all intents and purposes to be a gigantic wolf. As the story goes her trustworthy dogs fled at the sight of this monster, but the cattle were able to drive away the creature with their horns.
One of the most bizarre of all cryptozoological cases comes out of Crawfordsville, Indiana during September of 1891. A story carried by the Indianapolis Journal for September 5th said that at two o'clock the previous morning a "horrible apparition" appeared in the sky overhead, where two men who were working on a wagon saw it. The men estimated that the creature was about one hundred feet in the air, twenty feet long and eight feet wide.
The Mothman is one of the strangest creatures to ever make an appearance in the UFO era. I say during the ufo era, for while the this winged monstrosity is only occasionally linked with UFO's, many of the most famous sightings to take place happened during a rash of UFO sightings and other strange occurrences, such as Men in Black visitations in the Ohio River Valley in 1966 and 1967....
The frightening events known as the Dover Demon encounters began at 10:30 p.m. on April 21, 1977, in Dover, Massachusetts, an upscale suburb of Boston. Three teenagers, aged seventeen years old each were driving along, when one of them, Bill Bartlett, spotted "something" slinking next to a wall of stones on the west side of the street.....
The UFO era produced several incidents where alleged extra-terrestrial's are claimed to have attacked human beings. However at least one case attracted the attention of of the US Air Force's official UFO investigative agency, Project Blue Book. During the evening of August 25th, 1955, Billy Ray Taylor, who lived with 10 people in a farmhouse near the small town of Kelly, Kentucky, walked out to the backyard to get some water from the well there.....
Though not well known in the history of sasquatch like, hairy biped reports, the summer of 1969 in Lake Worth, on the edge of Fort Worth, Texas produced one of the most well attested events of that nature. It also produced a photograph of the creature.....
Vampire dogs have been reported throughout history. The victims of these cryptozoological attackers are found with their throats punctured and are drained of blood. But could we be looking at a phenomenon more akin to the el Chupacabra one? Is it possible that el Chupacabra is a world-wide phenomenon spanning centuries rather than a fairly recent and localized one?
