The pictures being presented in this section are not in any kind of order. I just intend to add pictures that have special meaning to me as I go along.
September 11th, 2001: Military helicopters, fully armed, patrol the Long Island Expressway. This shot is from my backyard, I am guessing they were perhaps looking for possible truck/car bombs headed towards the city.
The view down my street in mid summer. As you will see, the almost completely dead maple tree is not quite as blaringly obvious in the winter as it is in the summer. I am waiting for a snowy day to take a winter shot.
The same shot, this time in mid Fall. The maple can almost pass itself off as not being an eye sore. Looking at this picture now, I am starting to wonder if those two vehicles ever move!
I really love the part of the Fall when the trees change colors. That combined with the shorter days give a certain quality to the days that I find very comforting. I suppose though it is a good thing that the leaves changing only last about 2 weeks, as this year I took up the habit of snapping pictures while I was driving. This is a shot I took on a roadway near where I live.
