Dinosaurs of the Museum of Natural History
Teratorns, about 7 feet tall
Interestingly, the dinosaur exhibit focused greatly on the conjecture that dinosaurs evolved into birds. The last I had heard, this still hadnt been proven. Then again the human evolution section showed apes holding hands and doing other distinctly human things, so I guess it all depends on who runs the museum. Below is a Teratorn, or similar bird, in the section with Tyrannosaurus Rex, and Allosaurus, creatures from three widely seperated eras.
T Rex, while not the largest predator to ever walk the lands, was seriously a force to be reckoned with. It really struck me, besides its large size, how menacing the dinosaur appeared.
Allosaurus
An Allosaurus. Smaller version of the Tyrannosaurus Rex
I dont know what kind of dinosaur this was, but you can bet you can be glad he isnt around today. He was about 6 or 7 feet from head to tail, and had long razor sharp claws on his feet and hands. Again notice the reference to the birds in the background.
