Below is one of the cliff faces we first encountered after travelling from the western side of the range. It is hard to judge how huge these cliffs are from the photo, however note the trees growing out of the face of the cliff. They are full grown pines, at least 30 to 50 feet tall. Below this picture is a close up of the trees growing from the cliff.

Again, more caves. This one looked very promising if I was looking to go underground. The way the rocks break makes it look almost like a man made entrance.
Lake Minnewaska Cave
We found this rather mysterious fellow lounging under a large rock. We had to commend him for his bravery at doing such a deed.
Dashing Young Man
Just below was the only photo I could get of Lake Minnewaska. The lake is big, at least a few miles long, but the thick foliage prevented us from seeing it. Perhaps on a future expedition we will go check the waters out. To give you an idea of how high we were, the trees around the lake are full grown oaks, maples etc..
Lake Minnewaska
This is a particularly large rock, notice the person standing to the right of it. Other than being big, there is really nothing special about it, so you might be wondering why I included it here. I really dont know, I guess I like rocks and thought this one was pretty. With that, we were back in the car and set off for home!
